I have practiced individual therapy and group therapy for over a decade. I have certificates in Cognitive Behavior Therapy from The Beck Institute, Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills from The Linehan Institute, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy from The Institute for Solution Focused Therapy.
I have studied Eastern philosophies and mindfulness theory and have participated in, and led sessions in mindfulness practice. My studies mostly focus on Bhakti Yoga and the teachings of Ram Dass.
Most recently, I have been combining mindfulness with Cognitive Behavior Therapy. I teach how to use mindfulness principles of compassion, non-attachment, living with intention, and serving the community. I combine these principles with the cognitive skills for “rewiring” thought patterns. Together, these skills facilitate meaningful change in the mind and heart.
