Now an emerging clinically supported therapy

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy

With Journey Clinical

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is the current clinically approved psychedelic therapy for off-label treatment off anxiety, depression, and PTSD. It is an evidence-based therapy in which ketamine is used as a complement to psychotherapy to help eligible clients experience fast symptom relief and sustained improvement in symptoms.

Journey Clinical is an organization that coordinates the medical team that supports clients on all medical aspects of the treatment. This includes determining eligibility, developing a treatment plan, prescribing ketamine, and monitoring outcomes.

Ketamine is used to treat a variety of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety and PTSD. Ketamine has rapidly-acting antidepressant and mood-improving effects. It works by blocking the brain’s NMDA receptors as well as by stimulating AMPA receptors, which are thought to help form new synaptic connections and boost neural circuits that regulate stress and mood. Ketamine has also been shown to enhance overall neuroplasticity for lasting symptom improvement.
